Ksar Oulad Abdelhalim, located in Er-Rissani in the Drâa-Tafilalet region, is a striking example of Saharan earthen architecture. Built using traditional adobe techniques, the ksar reflects the ancestral lifestyle of local tribes. Once a residence for local leaders and a strategic center, it played a key role in the region’s history. Inside its fortified walls, visitors can explore narrow alleys, traditional dwellings, and sometimes well-preserved ruins. The ksar represents the cultural and historical richness of southern Morocco and offers an authentic glimpse into the local heritage.
